The people of the Buddhism faith are committed to peace and goodwill in the world.
This is evident in their expressions of humanity…
In the Buddhism culture, there are many rules and regulations to follow and help Buddhists become a good person. They have a belief known as “Samsara,” this is when one is still on Earth they must do good deeds and when doing this they are able to escape Samsara (refer to humanity page for more information). When escaping Samsara Buddhists reach NIRVANA and achieve eternal peace and not only do they want peace for themselves but for everyone.
As people of faith they strive to be true to this statement when they….
Buddhism people strive to be true to their religion by sharing sacred stories that are all memorized and practice that they teach themselves and many others. If they are fully dedicated, they may take part of the “SANGHA”, which means becoming a ‘Monk’, this may not be eternal, but it shows the commitment towards the Buddhism society. Buddhism have social structures such as Sacred Space, Sacred Time, Sacred People, and Sacred Text, they also have a belief of teachings called ‘Therarada’. Therarda means that; all phenomena are impermanent, all phenomena
are suffering, all phenomena are selfless, and Nirvana alone is peace.

Through prayer Buddhists stimulate inherited inner capacities of strength, compassion and wisdom. They believe that prayer is a form of mediation to see the positive aspects of life and eliminate the negative perception; pointing them in the right direction. Although Buddhists do not deny Gods and may pray to them, they do not believe that these Gods can provide a “heaven” for them but guild them to reach NIRVANA. For Buddhists praying most importantly is a way of affirmation for themselves.

The community will learn about the goals Buddhists work towards and respect their Buddhism culture, stories and rituals.
