Buddha Skayamuni is the founder of Buddhism, whom was born in 624BCE in Lumbini which was previously in Northern India but now part of Nepal. Buddha Shakyamuni or Gautama Buddha lived about 2,500 years ago in India. He was not the first Buddha, and will not be the last either. A t his birth, many special signs had appeared, his father asked a sage living in his kingdom for advice on his son, with the sage's response, he predicted that Gautama would become either a great King or a great spiritual teacher.
When Gautama was 29 years old, he discovered there was much suffering in the world around him, being shocked by the suffering of all living beings, he decided to search for way to end it. He left his wife and child, the palace and even his royal clothes, and started out on a spiritual quest. After this Buddha pursued to teach others the pathway to enlightenment, giving approximately 84000 teachings. This included the unravelling of reflective methods of spiritual training, these were practical ways to purify and control the mind of one hence reaching ones mental peace. People then must allow their inner peace to grow by continuing the practices to diminish the mind set of misfortunes and eventually attain permanent inner peace of Nirvana like Buddha. In all the Buddha’s goal is to possess inner peace and joy that nothing can destroy. The Buddha continued to teach during his life, until passing away at the age of 81.

·Buddhists attend the temple whenever they feel the need; there is no special time or day. However it seems that it is very common for Buddhists to meditate on a day when a full moon is present.
Buddha is also known as a teacher not as God.
Within a temple you will find; a shrine room with a large Buddha statue and his disciples, a lecture room, meditation room and a library. Shoes are to be removed when entering a temple to show respect for Buddha. Candles and incense are lit with flowers and food placed on the front of the statue of Buddha. Flowers are placed in the temple to remind the Buddhists that they will not live forever, and the food is given to the Monks since they own nothing of their own.
The following vows are said to help Buddhists to act well:
Not to hurt living things
Do not take advantage of what is not there
Use senses correctly
Speak kindly
Do not take or use drugs
The Buddhist religion acknowledges that people are always suffering and provides a way to help those who are in this position
